The Galway-headquartered Corrib Oil has announced plans to more than double its nationwide store presence to 100 by 2030, creating 1,200 new jobs across the country.
The announcement comes just weeks after Corrib announced a franchise partnership with fast food restaurant brand, Wendy’s.
The first of four new stores, located on Model Farm Road in Cork, is set to open this month, creating 30 new jobs.
Corrib Oil, founded in 1987 and headquartered in Parkmore, currently employs 1,150 people, and has 38 service station stores across 17 counties.
The Wendy’s partnership will bring ten new quick-service restaurants to Ireland over the next two years. These sites will be a blend of standalone Wendy’s restaurants as well as new Wendy’s offerings at existing Corrib service station locations.
It also has a residential and commercial fuel business which has seen the business recently invest in a new online ordering platform to provide another channel for customers to order domestic home heating oil and gas.
Corrib Oil CEO Eugene Dalton said that the retail expansion programme reflected the company’s growth strategy across all three divisions of its business.
“We have been growing our retail footprint over recent years, reflecting our firm focus on meeting the fuel, retail and service station needs of communities. This expansion programme fast-tracks that growth further,” he said.
“As we scale up, we are looking to recruit talented, motivated individuals who are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and developing their career with us.
“We are recruiting for a variety of roles, ranging from store management and retail positions to opportunities in operations, supply chain, logistics and head office support functions. Whether someone is just starting their career journey or seeking to develop their skills in a new area, we want to hear from you.”
