A new course – entitled Developing a Business or Social Enterprise Idea – is starting in Galway on Friday week, October 19.
It will run for three Friday mornings at Galway City Partnership office on the Headford Road starting at 10am on October 19 and 26, finishing on November 2. The course is run in partnership with the Galway Roscommon Education Training Board (GRETB).
“This course is for anyone that has an idea for a business or social enterprise and is not sure what to do next. It is also for people that are just starting to take action on their idea and want to learn more about starting a business”, said Eileen Lauster, Social Enterprise Development Officer at Galway City Partnership.
“We have delivered the course three times before with those completing it saying that they found it beneficial. It helps to discuss ideas in a small setting with as much or as little feedback as is wanted,” she added.
Presenter Ita Kelly has delivered this course as well as the Start Your Own Business course that Galway City Partnership offers. All of the courses are free through the SICAP programme.
“The Developing a Business or Social Enterprise Idea course is for someone that has an idea and wants to learn the basics of tax code, business registration, marketing and bookkeeping as well as teasing out the pros and cons of their idea with others,” said Eileen.
Registration for the course and any queries can be sent to Eileen at firstname.lastname@example.org or by ringing 091-773466.
