Free parking for the Christmas period begins tomorrow (Monday) in seven Galway towns.
Those included are Athenry, Ballinasloe, Clifden, Cleggan, Gort, Loughrea and Tuam.
Galway County Council states that on- and off-street parking will be free from 11:00 AM every day until December 31st.
The aim is to encourage footfall in those towns during the Christmas shopping period.
