A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions following a high-speed chase in Connemara last evening.
A Garda car was rammed in the chase which began in the Clifden area and ended in Cill Chiaráin.
A man was arrested in relation to the incident.
He has since been released without charge and a file for the DPP is now being prepared.
Covid-19 walk-in vaccination clinics to open in Clifden and city this weekend
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Covid-19 walk-in vaccination centres will once again open in Clifden and the city this weekend. (7/8)
The centres are open on Saturday to those aged 16 and over who have not yet received a first dose vaccine.
The Clifden centre is based at Clifden Community School, and will be in operation from 10am to 2pm.
Meanwhile, Ballybrit Vaccination Centre will be open for walk-in appointments on Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
The Saolta Hospital Group says last weekend proved a tremendous success for both centres, with over 800 people receiving first dose vaccinations.

€320k to support street enhancement works in towns and villages across Galway
Galway Bay fm newsroom – €320 thousand has been awarded to support the enhancement of streetscapes in towns and villages across Galway.
The allocation is part of a national €7m fund announced by Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humpreys.
Projects eligible for funding include the painting of buildings in vibrant colours, commissioning of murals, restoration of historic shopfronts, and the installation of canopies and street furniture.
It also supports works such as the decluttering of streetscapes with the removal of unnecessary signage or wires.
Local Senator Aisling Dolan says it’s all about working with local communities to make towns and villages places to live, work and visit.
