Daniel O’Donnell returns to Galway next month, when he will be in concert in Leisureland as part of a national tour. The show is on Friday, August 9, and tickets are available at the Town Hall Theatre.
Daniel’s singing career began back in the 1980s and has taken him a long way from his Donegal home since then, as he’s performed in places including Sri Lanka, Alaska, Australia, America, the UK, as well as throughout Ireland.
One of the country’s most successful performers, Daniel knows his success is due to his loyal fanbase and he gives his time generously to his audiences, sometimes spending as long meeting and greeting people after shows, as he does entertaining them on stage. And he’s looking forward to seeing his fans after the Leisureland concert on August 9.
His current album How Lucky I Must Be is a mix of covers and original songs which he has made his own. The album, with the title track written by Isla Grant, was released last year. And once again, it broke his own record for UK chart success. Daniel has become the first and only recording artist to have at least one album in the UK pop charts every year for 36 consecutive years.
A special limited deluxe edition of How Lucky I Must Be is available on CD and vinyl. This includes two videos – the award-winning Halloween video ‘The Night of the Daniels’ and ‘Daniel Live in Derry’, as well as an autographed picture. The album is also available digitally.
Tickets are €58 plus a €1 booking fee, from tht.ie, 091-569777 or from the box office.
