Twenty-five talented contemporary artists from the West of Ireland will showcase their work at Barna Art Fair later this November.
Niamh Daniels, Adrienne Finnerty, Val Dennigan, Jean O’Connor, Ananya Gupta, Meadhbh Ní Eidhin, Joyce Michelle, Jimmy Lawlor, Caroline McDonagh, Mary Cahalan, Niamh Lohan, Dominic McNamara, Tom Taaffe, Rine Philbin and Michelle Campion are among the many artists and designers who will showcase their work at the two-day fair.
Organised by Barna man Paul Cluskey, and Saoirse Glynn, the fair takes place on November 22 and 23 in Scoil Shéamais Naofa from 10am to 6pm.
The fair returns to Barna village following the success of the inaugural event held there last year.
Described as a ‘vibrant, accessible celebration of contemporary art from the West of Ireland’, the event allows art enthusiasts to connect directly with the region’s top talent. It will also have unique Christmas gift ideas for sale.
“You’ll find a diverse array of styles and media, from powerful landscape paintings and dynamic abstract works to unique sculpture and photography,” said organiser and artist Paul Cluskey.
“Whether you are a seasoned collector or a first-time buyer, this is a fantastic chance to meet the creators, discuss their inspiration, and find a piece that truly speaks to you,” he added.
An original artwork will be raffled over the weekend of the fair, with every visitor entered to the draw. Entry to the fair is free, and parking is available at the national school.
More information is available from www.barnaartfair.com.
