Construction of a new community centre for Newcastle is due to begin in early 2026.
This is after Galway City Council approved a part 8 planning report which allows for construction to start.
The centre, which will include a sports hall, meeting rooms and an AstroTurf pitch, will be located in Moyola Park beside the existing Croí building.
