Calls for indoor recreational facility at Carnmore
Galway Bay fm newsroom – A county councillor says an indoor recreational facility should be developed on the Galway Airport site at Carnmore.
Ballinasloe Councillor Aidan Donohue says there’s a distinct lack of indoor facilities for children in the county.
A feasibility study is currently being undertaken at the 115 acre Carnmore site to determine it’s future use.
The Galway Airport site has recently been purchased by Galway City and County Councils.
Speaking on Galway Talks, Councillor Donohue says it would be the perfect location for a recreational facility for the entire county.
