25 Government agencies to offer business advice at Galway roadshow

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Details of financial supports for new and existing businesses will be outlined at a free event in the city tomorrow.

Hundreds of existing and potential entrepreneurs are expected to attend the ‘taking care of business event’ which brings together 25 Government agencies.

There will be two seperate strands running concurrently with presentations from state bodies in one area and information stands in another.

It takes place in the Radission blu hotel on Lough Atalia from 8:30 in the morning to 2:30pm.

Junior Minister and Galway East TD Ciaran Cannon will open the event, and says there will be lots of financial advice available on the day

Galway’s CONNOLLY favourite for Ireland’s Eurovision song choice with decision due tonight

Galway Bay fm newsroom – 19 year old Connemara artist CONNOLLY is the favourite heading into tonight’s Late Late show vote for Eurovision song.

Six songs are taking part in the Eurosong vote on RTÉ One from 9:35PM, all vying to become Ireland’s entry for the 2023 competition being held in Liverpool this May.

The latest betting odds are placing Lettermullen singer, Jennifer Connolly and her song Midnight Summer Night 11/8 favourite ahead of Wild Youth on 5/2.

The winner will be chosen after the public vote is added to the scores from both a national jury and an international jury.

Senator claims barriers to Galway Ring Road will cause huge implications for other infrastructure projects

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Local senator Ollie Crowe is claiming that the barriers facing the Galway Ring Road will result in huge implications for other infrastructure projects.

It’s as An Bord Pleanala is to reconsider an application for the Galway Ring Road, after permission was quashed on environmental grounds.

The Fianna Fáil Senator is slamming the current road network in Galway as “not fit for purpose” and says the ring road is a “substantial piece of the jigsaw” to fix that.

Galway TY students invited to attend real estate work experience course

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Transition Year students in Galway interested in real estate are invited to attend a virtual work experience course.

DNG is hosting 3rd level colege presentations, online auctions and an auctioneering and property services apprenticeship programme.

500 students are expected to sign up the the programme, with over 1,000 students taking part over the past two years.

The course will take place from Wednesday to Friday of next week, and registration is on ty.dng.ie
