From this week's Galway City Tribune
Frank Fahy has re-gained his seat in Galway City Central, exceeding the quota on the ninth count.
The Menlo man becomes the second Fine Gael candidate to be elected in this Local Electoral Area, joining party colleague Eddie Hoare.
This is Fahy’s third election success since he was co-opted onto Galway City Council in 2011.
A former mayor, he was re-elected in 2014 and 2019.
His surplus of 25 will not impact the race at this stage, and so Adrian Curran People Before Profit has now been eliminated and his votes will be distributed for Count 10.
