A female pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision in the city centre this afternoon.
The woman was knocked down outside Richardson’s pub in Eyre square just before 2 o’ clock.
She was taken to University Hospital Galway by ambulance for treatment to a serious leg injury.
Gardaí are carrying out an investigation into the collision which resulted in the road being closed for a short time.
