Transport Minister says Gort -Tuam motorway is important for the State

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The Minister for Transport says the Gort to Tuam motorway project is an important development for the State.
Speaking at the official sod-turning for the Public Private Partnership road in Gort this afternoon (9/5), Leo Varadkar says it’s a great day for Galway.
He says the M17-M18 motorway will create 450 construction jobs and should be open to traffic in 2018.
The Minister joined An Taoiseach Enda Kenny for the ceremony at the M18 junction in Gort.
Speaking to Galway Bay fm News, Minister Varadkar said the Gort to Tuam motorway is essential for the country.
