South Galway residents who’ve been affected by flooding in recent years have teamed up to form a new flood relief committee.
The South Galway Flood Relief Committee aims to drive the rapid delivery of solutions to alleviate the area’s flooding crisis.
The committee will meet with Minister with responsibility for flooding, Sean Canney, next week and have requested that all stake holders in South Galway’s flood relief efforts attend.
South Galway Flood Relief Committee spokesperson David Murray told Keith Finnegan that delays in flood relief efforts have a serious effect on local communities.
