The city’s newest secondary school opened its doors today following a merger.
Presentation Secondary School and Mercy Secondary School Newtownsmyth have joined forces to become Our Lady’s College.
The new school is located at the former Presentation school site, and has a new uniform and crest.
It will cater for 400 pupils and will use the campus at the former Presentation School site as well as the campus at Newtownsmith as an interim measure.
The design process for a new school building at the Presentation School site begins today.
It will be complete for the beginning of term in September 2018.
