The Galway woman behind an innovative video marketing company aimed specifically at estate agents has earned a substantial prize for her pitch.

Anna Downes, founder of ShowHouz, Galway, was the winner of an Elevator Pitch competition worth €3,000 at the recent Roscommon Fuelling Ambition Roadshow.

ShowHouz is a media tech company that harnesses the power of video marketing for the property sector.

They work with innovative real estate agents who want to improve their sales and marketing tools, by helping them create effective video property tours that engage buyers more immediately and effectively than still imagery.

And the concept won Anna Downes a cash prize package sponsored by Facebook worth €2,000, as well as additional prizes worth up to €1,000.

Those prizes are designed to support her on her business journey, and include ten sessions with Enterprise Ireland mentors and attendance at Enterprise Ireland’s Excel at Export Selling training programme, as well as annual membership of Network Ireland.

The competition was part of the Fuelling Ambition ‘Lead and Succeed’ Roadshow event in the Hodson Bay Hotel outside Athlone, organised by Enterprise Ireland and Network Ireland, in conjunction with the Entrepreneurs Academy, and was attended by business women and entrepreneurs from the West and Midlands region.

The Roadshow was one of a series of free-to-attend events taking place across the country during March, April and May which aim to encourage, support and drive the ambition of female entrepreneurs nationally by showcasing thriving Irish business women and entrepreneurs.
