Around 40 properties will go under the hammer at the next O’Donnellan & Joyce ‘Wild Atlantic Way’ auction, which takes place on March 1.

Auctioneer Colm O’Donnellan said: “We have a great selection of houses, apartments and retail units from Donegal right down to Galway and throughout the city and county in this auction, all of which should pique the interest of any shrewd investor.”

He reported that the open viewings have been busy, with particular interest in Galway City properties.

Among the properties in the auction catalogue are:

19 Rusheen Woods, Shangort Road, Knocknacarra, Galway. This is an exceptional four-bed detached family home located just off Shangort Road in the heart of Knocknacarra. It is within walking distance of Joyce’s Supermarket, Knocknacarra Church as well as being close to Rusheen Bay and Barna Woods. This would provide an ideal home for a growing family given its close proximity to Cappagh Park and a host of primary schools, as well as the new Coláiste na Coiribe. It also benefits from a regular bus route to the city centre. The Advised Minimum Value is €340,000.

21 Lower Newcastle Road, Galway. A charming 4-bed semi-detached home presented in excellent condition with off-street parking to the rear. The location is second to none with NUIG and UHG on your doorstep. The AMV is €400,000.

25 Greenfields, Newcastle. A 1,320 sq ft semi-detached house in a popular residential development close to NUIG and UHG. The AMV is €250,000.

15 Tone Avenue, Mervue, Galway. Three-bed mid-terrace home with plenty of space outside, including a 30-metre long back garden and 20m deep front garden. It would make an ideal first-time buyer or family home. The AMV is €195,000.
